Would rather see mix get some pt in a better euro league, but I guess mls is willing to pay better.
Actually, him learning from lampard could be good - but I'd still rather he play in Europe right now.

Would love to see him in Germany or Holland, hell even Spain where his skill set would be put to good use.

He could get a January loan (or at least some offseason training) with the "Parent Company" in Manchester.

Well, I hate the Yankees, so that's one strike right away.
I hate them if their only purpose is accounting tricks and "brand enhancment."
If some MCFC youngsters get some valuable experience or wait while they get a work permit in the UK, I'll be on board.

If they are in the academy they already have one
I know you guys are still new to all this.
Support DC United we just signed a new player from Finland

Not necessarily. Remember Kelechi Iheanacho . He's essentially on a visa to go to "schoool" at the City Acedemy and needs a work permit to play professionally. If he doesn't get it, he could play for NYCFC for a year and build up some Nigeria caps to get it.
Also, they could sign a young player from Argentina or somewhere who is ready to play and doesn't need the Acacedmy, but needs to wait a year for a work permit. A club that you control the coaching and strategy is better than a loan to Belgium or Scandanavia.

The UK home office would see right through that

Always wondered what happened to him. He was really impressive in the US tour.

See right through what?
English clubs send players out on loan all the time to wait until they are ready for a work permit. United has sent players to Belgium for years. City signed a player from Argentina this summer and sent him to Valencia.
They only difference, and what is the potential advantage, is that NYCFC will use the same tactics, language, philosophy and will care more about the player's development.

Tricks to get work permits, esp for young unproven players.
Its hard enough for established players.
But anyway most academy players already have work permits. The City situation you signed a 17 year old who didn't come through the youth ranks and just slapped him on the youth squad hoping he would be cleared.

The American club, preparing for their debut season in Major League Soccer, have announced they will take on Scottish side St Mirren and Danish club Brondby at the City Football Academy.
St Mirren will be NYCFC's first pre-season opponents on 10 February with Brondby visiting five days later; the MLS team will then head off to continue their pre-season preparations at the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston.
Former Spain striker David Villa will be NYCFC's star attraction with Frank Lampard now expected to join them in the summer after completing the Premier League season at the Ethiad stadium.
