There's going to be bloodshed by the end of the tournament. And to be honest, the way Lalas trolled Tommy Smyth after the Ireland game was FAR more offputting.

I got to agree with Lalas here. England doesn't seem to have much attacking talent and they have many players from that Chelsea back line that sat in the box and won the UCL. It seems like their best strategy would be to sit back and win "ugly" matches.

I agree with Lalas too (as much as I hate him).

England had no chance playing the football Ballack wants. Instead, they got a point. It was ugly, and terrible to watch, but football nonetheless. It's just the way he delivers his thoughts is in such a douchey manner.

It does suck we have to watch shite like that though.

Yeah. I'm not sure what can be done about it. You can't ask the outmatched team to just fall on their sword and commit suicide.

Exactly. You just have to try and go up early on them.

Really the only argument is that you're building a soccer/football "culture", a way to play. That sounds good and people may say they want that but when the results don't go their way then the manager gets fired.

I muted the halftime stuff today and turned it off after the games were over. I've just quickly lost any interest in listening to them.

I would say it was one of the best games of the tournament.

1) Poland-Greece
2) Sweden-Ukraine
3) Germany-Portugal
4) Russia-Czech Republic
5) Spain-Italy
6) Netherlands-Denmark
7) Croatia-Ireland (more goals don't always mean better soccer)
8) England-France

Ballack might be the worst anaylst in any sport in history. I didn't think anyone could beat Magic Johnson.

Then England got a free kick which Steven Gerrard beautifully swung in Michael?

Ballack- "Yes."
