Well, obviously, but that wasn't the case.

Yeah, I was agreeing with you. Poor timing by Jurgen...UNLESS HE KNEW WE WERE GOING TO GIVE UP A GOAL BECAUSE HE WAS FIXING THE MATCH

We got out-possessed 60-40 and outshot 21-9.

Hope attacking my lazy argument helps you feel better about the US playing like dick.

He was never a threat on goal but did do well holding the ball up at times. It would be hard to fault him specifically since we had bigger problems, particularly holding the ball in midfield. Same old issues when up against quality opponents.

ETA: He did score the penalty, so all in all I'd say he did pretty well.

The better question would be which of the starting XI didn't play terrible.

The answer would be Jones, Brooks, Garza, Bedoya and Rubin.

I thought Jozy played well enough to be included in your list.

I'm going to include Jozy on the list of not shite.

Yedlin, Mix, and Beckerman were in a contest to see who could play shittier. Becks has so little vision possessing the ball it killed our midfield. Mix does better when he has a more skilled player (like a Bradley) next to him. Becks killed both of them

I feel like he disappeared after the first 30 minutes.

You forgot to include Fabian in your shite list. He was invisible.

And I'm not reading this whole thread. How was their first goal not offside? I know he didn't touch the ball but you will have a hard time convincing me a guy standing at the spot didn't influence the play

Guzan totally stopped to defend the guy who was offside. He set his feet and and got in the ready position. It's bullshite that the ref didn't blow the whistle.

Did you expect anything different? Colombia are clearly one of the top 6 or 7 teams in the world right now.

Who said I expected anything differently?

ETA: it is a little disconcerting that, for all the talk JK did about changing the style of play to more attack, we're in year 3 under him and not much has changed. Bob and Bruce would've employed the exact same tactics that we saw today.

Pointing out that stat seems pointless when we play a team of that quality. It is like a Burnley fan pointing that out after playing Arsenal.
