God Van de Beek is a 60 mil player. He's a fantastic CM.

The real question is why was Trippier guarding De Ligt on the corner?

He wasn't. He was just watching hoping he doesn't go to the PL

Spurs broke the press wonderfully there. Son has to do better.

Spurs are I believe not allowed to score in the first half of games.

The Barca-Pool game and this game show how important it is to have a passer deeper, but also to have progressive passers in the second phase of an offensive transition. The Son chance was made by Eriksen's inside to outside movement.

When Spurs get trapped, it's usually on Alderweireld, which means Spurs is getting trapped too deep. Barca negotiated the 1st phase well, but they got bogged down when the ball came to Rakitic and Vidal, who had 37 and 58 passes respectively in comparison to Busquet's 90. For Spurs, Wanayama is a passenger offensively. If they had Winks there, they could negotiate the 1st two phases of the press much better.

In, was an Ajax fan before Arsenal. Followed Bergkamp and was hard to see any Eredivisie on TV.

I even screen printed my own jersey on a white t shirt with ABN AMRO down it.

I think they were. Lots of former Ajax boys. Eriksen, Alderweireld, Vertonghen.

Game over.
