I don’t let European Nationalism affect what I think of a player. I love the intensity he brings to the pitch, who cares if it has got him in a little trouble

Marko would immediately make the team better
But he fails the pc purity test along with not being perceived as Utd material by deluded fans who think we are entitled to the best players in the world at every position. The same fans scratching their head over the bid for Rabiot while simultaneously blaming Barca for FDJ wanting nothing to do with a banter era Manchester United.
A club like Brighton would take a Marko Arnautovich and Adrien Rabiot and kick our arse with them. If anyone needs proof, just look at Danny Welbeck who was not good enough for Man Utd but strangely terrorizes our back lines year in and year out.

There are multiple midfield options better than Adrien Rabiot that United haven't even looked at. There's also better forward options than Arnautovic. United are just terrible in the transfer window and for some reason they have this idea that they don't want to "over spend" because they have in the past. The problem in the past wasn't over spending. It was buying the wrong players.
They haven't even given Jonathan David a look.
In midfield, Fabian Ruiz, Konrad Laimer, Mattheus Nunes, Youri Tielemans, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, etc. The thing that people are mad about is that they've wasted 3 months waiting for De Jong, and when they finally decide to pull another midfielder, rather than speaking with any of the good options I listed, they agree a 15m fee for Adrien Rabiot.
A player who is known to be a complete shithead. Whose mom is a distraction and a problem. And who has worse stats in the Serie A than Mctominay has in the premier league.

One mistake leads to 5 with this team. It makes 0 sense. I mean obviously the back end of the squad is complete shite. But the De Gea howler, the pass to eriksen in the box so slowly by De Gea as he's coming towards the goal. We Know Dalot and Shaw are terrible on corners and defending in general. But good God, it takes one De Gea howler and then they start crumbling and give up on defense.

I’ve always rated De Gea but this game has shown me his worst traits and I now understand why people have hated him for so long.
