Look at Newcastle and how they are rolling with a new state owned fund. I would be ok with it, we need an entire stadium rebuild or renovation, training ground renovation, and a heavy cash influx. Not sure who else could give us that.

Sorry I have no interest in being a state owned project that is used to promote a shite country
They will use our club to be a political ploy
City’s owners have been doing it for years to get leverage buying up property

I hear that, but I think unfortunately its the only way of competing with the other European giants and upgrading all the facilities that haven't been touched since 05-06.

It can be done with out their money
They just had the instant cash
Other owners have to do it the normal way
We can’t expect everything over night
City upgrade the city of Manchester stadium and expanded it/ build all new facilities as a FFP thing.

Agreed. It might be beneficial to the club in short/mid-term, but it is bad for the sport as a whole.

Sounds like Sir Jim would need to take on financing which would mean he takes his profits to pay off debt.

That was a very nervy match. We need Casemiro back in the worse way.

Exactly. They will be expecting a return on their investment and it will be the same ole tune.

Um no
It is now illegal to sattle the club with the debt from the purchase

Correct.
My post was more about that expectations that he will come in and OT would be rebuilt and Carrington would immediately be undergoing renovations is unrealistic.
But this would be the case for any non-Sovereign Nation fund money that is successful.

True but Jim is worth 16 b which is a ridiculous amount of money but he isn’t going to spend almost half his net worth on purchasing the club. The investors will want to get paid, they aren’t just going to lend him the money in good faith expecting nothing and that’s a red flag to me.

Apparently Elon Musk is monitoring the United situation. I would take Elon over the Glazers. Could be interesting.

That draw against Palace and Leeds coming back to bite. Would be 1 point off the top right now

We still got a title race on our hands tho

Could’ve and probably should’ve won. Rashford having a great season

Qatari’s have submitted what has been called a substantial bid for the club
Interesting bc they said they would not meet the Glazer’s demands of £5-£6 billion
Still don’t see how this is going to work for them
It’s a “different” ownership than PSG but the funds are still from the same central location
