We are supposedly preparing a massive bid for Di Maria, are possibly sending nani to sporting for rojo, including chicharito in a deal for vidal, and still working towards bentia.

wtb players please.

Saturday didn't look good. We do have to remember that we were without RVP, Rafael, Carrick, Welbeck, Valencia, and Shaw. But that's little consolation when you lose at home to Swansea on opening day.

Hopefully we will be bringing in some quality new players soon. Ideally, I think LvG would like to go 4-3-3 but doesn't feel he has the personnel to do that effectively at the moment. We'll see in coming days if there's any legitimacy to report that he wants Di Maria. He would work well in LvG's 4-3-3, that's for sure.

would imagine it's total package (aka 50-60m fee and then 40m for a 5yr contract).

i would hope so. otherwise someone has completely lost their mind.

landing di maria will put us one step close to a 4-3-3. I still don't understand why real madrid are offloading him. He was frequently their best player last season and a big reason why they won the UCL.

Yeah, it's total package - fee plus wages. Makes it sound more sensational. The figure is coming from a story run by the Daily Mail. So, we all know what that's worth.

Di Maria is awesome, but it's been two years, and still no proven center backs? Woodward has got to go.

quote:

Manchester United have agreed a £16 million deal for Sporting defender Marcos Rojo, with Nani going the other way on a season-long loan, Goal understands.

ETA: Throwing Nani into a deal would help solve the issues with the Rojo transfer. Since Sporting would get very little fee out of a transfer, this would give them an incentive, as Nani could return to his former club on relatively low wages (United would reportedly have to subsidize Nani's wages in the deal).

So should I buy a ticket from MK dons just in case tomorrow when they go on sale to general public and just try to sneak into the away section if I can't get an away ticket.
