let's assume they sign barry on a free permanently.

how much will it cost to get lukaku permanently ?

deulofeu you would think at worst they could bring back on loan again.

does jose give lukaku a chance this summer? if so, where do they turn for another striker?

going to be fun to watch

Who are the strikers that are expected to be available this summer?

Costa is the only name that comes to mind. I think that forces Chelsea's hand and Lukaku must get a chance (and I believe he should).

It makes no sense for Chelsea to not give Lukaku a terrific shot at making the squad as the primary starter. He has balled out this year.

I expect Ba and Eto'o to be gone, so the need is there.

yea i would think now is the time. i even thought last year coming off a strong finish at west brom would be a good chance for him but maybe he needed another loan spell.

even if everton finish 4th they will still have to get thru the qualifying rounds so as far as transfer funds its still going to be all about value, martinez should still be able to do some things in the market.

You mean Kone isn't enough?

Lukaku will cost around £20m I think and we have roughly £30m to spend according to Martinez. Deulofeu is a possibility to come back on loan, especially if we make CL. Barca would love to send him back to gain some big time CL experience.

Holtby (grew up in an Everton family), Welbeck, Rodwell, and Powell are all guys we're targeting too apparently.

Should be interesting to see how this all plays out. We're putting a good amount of money into Finch Farm too.

A lot will depend on whether or not they keep that 4th spot

I agree that it will take around $20M to wrap Lukaku up. Amazingly, it does not appear that Jose wants to give Luk a chance. He wants to bag a big name, proven star; he wants to spend tens of millions on a signing. Most signs point to that star being Costa.

I just want Arsenal to keep their filthy mitts off Martinez should they kick Wenger out the door and I want them to keep away from Lukaku too.

Deulofeu might be needed at Barcelona next year unless Barca's transfer ban gets delayed on appeals.

Lukaku definitely has issues with Mourinho and may not want to return to Stamford Bridge. Such is the circus that follows Mou's teams.

I know it's late, but we need to start an Everton thread since our numbers seem to be growing on here. I'll do it later when I get the chance if no one else is interested.

don't think chelsea will sell him this year unless they have some amazing luck and a premier 9 is on the market

with barca's transfer ban, they probably will need him

Ahh, you're probably right. Completely forgot about that and it's still fresh news.

Deulofeu is going to be an absolute stud. He already has some of the best footwork in the world. His persistence inside the box is what won the match for us yesterday. Sunderland's back line didn't know how the frick to defend him and ended up putting it in the back of their own net for us.

Sunderland plays that way against most sides, with the exception of the OG, though those do still occur.

I would pay any amount of money for him. I absolutely love him and think he'd be perfect in Brendan's system.

He is so filthy. I would like to see stay at Everton again despite the transfer ban.

By the way, Deulofeu is fricking raw on FIFA. Pair him up with Kone (yes, for real) and you are good to go.
