This x's infinity.

Sterling looked like a deer in the headlights. Dude looked fricking terrified.

I never thought I could attach to a coach so quickly, but Brendan could not be more perfect for this club and historically how it holds itself. I'm literally praying (yes Brendan is in my prayers, I'm that fanatical) he is successful. He could be Shanks reincarnated.

So, as we wait Isaac's impending arrival... A quick What If...

Ive seen this topic on a few LFC boards...

Would you be pissed/ok if we signed Michael Owen on a 1yr deal/low wages to fill a void at striker?

He is the reason I was first attracted to LFC... watching him in the WC, so Ive always had a soft spot. Id rather him in the #10 shirt than Joe Cole...

Same here. Honestly I don't know what I would think about that.

I think that would be a great idea. Club legend returns. That would be a big boost to the fans and probably some of the players. If he provides anything on the pitch that would be extra. It did wonders for us when Henry came back last year on loan. He made a big and positive impression on everyone from the veterans to the youngsters in the academy. Owen could provide some of the same things to Liverpool that Henry did for Arsenal.

the only sticking point (other than if someone feels he cant still be productive), is his time in the shirt of Manc Scum...

I dunno, Ive never really heard him bash LFC, atleast not that I can remember...

No, I don't think he's ever bashed LFC. But at the same time I think the common sentiment is that he never really cared for anyone but himself. And certainly not for LFC.

But I don't know the man, so I can't say.

I have a feeling wages will be a sticking point... unless we give him whatever nominal transfer fee we get, which I'd say go for it...

Another good read

quote:

Another who is emblematic of the new regime was Raheem Sterling. Parachuted into the starting line-up for a first league start - "an easy decision," according to his manager - the 17-year-old winger began with the automatic advantage of not being Stewart Downing but prospered in his own right.

He's tainted. Owen is not welcome.

There's one unforgivable sin according to the bible. This is the unforgivable sin in Liverpool football. Daniel Agger would probably give the the Fernando Torres treatment if he came back.
