This is exactly what I praised him for in the preseason. His movement alone opened a number of options for Suarez. The two are starting to play well with each other, but as movement always is, you have to get used to where the other player is going to put themself. When that happens I think he'll be a solid contributor.

Exactly. A lot of "critics" need to go watch some videos on movement. There are other ways to impact a game than through scoring goals. It is Barcelona's key to success. Obviously we are nowhere near their level, but hopefully we will eventually get somewhat close to it.
Like I've said multiple times, the squad needs time together at this point. Learning each other's tendencies takes a while sometimes. Obviously we would all like it to just click, but it isn't a realistic expectation.

Exactly. One LFC fan called in and said to fire BR and rehire KD. He was laughed off the air.

Especially in this system. My hope would be by January we're on the same page. It may be too late for 5th at that point, but I'd be happy if we were making significant progress each week, by then.

I do think we would be better this season with Dalglish. Simple progression logic. But BR is far and away the better long-term option (which is what we need to emerge into the modern game).
I really disliked the way Kenny ran the team and dealt with the media. I also disliked his tactics and think he really lacked a footballing identity and a sustainable philosophy.

This pretty much summed up the entire situation for me. I never knew what he was trying to do because he would constantly change. I guess if you had to pin some type of tactical identity on him, it would be lob to Carroll head, score.
Which, of course, never worked. It also never would have taken us into the future.

Which is fine. Except not only is it becoming dated tactically, but he only started Carroll for half the season (and most came because of Suarez's suspension). I don't understand it. He tried to build a traditional English system, but he wouldn't play his centre-forward. Counter intuitive.

I would give anything to have 5 minutes with these coaches and ask what thought process was running through their heads. It just made no sense.

When should we expect to hear if the card will be upheld?
Also, exactly what does it mean for his ability to play? He is suspended for the Citeh, Arsenal and Sunderland games because it was a straight red?
He can still play vs. Hearts right?

I just read the club decided not to challenge it.

Its a professional foul though, so he will serve only 1 game. If he brought a frivolous appeal it could be increased to 2.

I'm pretty sure he can.

I may try and watch a replay when I get back home. I listened to a little talk sport yesterday evening. One game... Some people are worse than LSU fan over a loss... This is a bit of a project, we are going to lose like this again... And we'll beat one of the top teams like we always do. Let's see what we do in the rest of the window.
I always felt Borini was too green to step in right away... He's not a natural wide player, he is always looking to ghost into those spots in the middle that Suarez vacates... How he got his goal against Gomel. I want to see the new guy... He's a true winger and will offer pace and creativity, although I think he's going to need time to.
We are still in need of an out and out goal scorer... We needed one last year, we need one this year... I hope they have a diamond in the rough to bring in.... Like a Papiss Cisse (speaking of which, they will drop points when cisse, ba and tiote are at the ACON)

And he'll never play for the Chav again. Dude hates you guys now. Good job with that one.

As long as he's under contract, he will play where he is told.

Lukaku hasn't earned that right, nor does he look like a golfer.
