By lead-foot I meant he seems to be kind of slow.

Ah my bad. Hmmm I don't know I'll have to go rewatch it. I didn't notice it at the time, but I wasn't thinking about it either.

quote:

It was Assaidi. Sinclair pulled both defenders wide, but Assaidi tried to play him through instead of drive to the center of the box. Might have been the right decision if it would have come off, but with the terrible match Ben Foster had, I would have taken the space and let it fly as often as possible.

Yeah that was it! I saw it immediately and thought he should drive straight to the goal. I think it was just a case of unfamiliarity between the two. That will come in time.

He might start this weekend. I like the kid.

I hope so. For how gangly and Peter Crouch-like he looks, he was pretty effective going forward.

I agree with your overall assessment... it was fun to watch...

Jerome Sinclair..what a moment. The hidden factor behind the second goal. Dragged the CB far post before bringing him back into the center of the box, opening Assaidi wide.

Suso's dummy helped, too... it had all the baggie defenders going left...

Looks like Agger and Borini at least have a shot to play this weekend. Would be helpful to have one or both back.

Glad to hear they'll be back soon...

If anyone wants to see the build up to Sahin's second goal... take a look at this video at the 7:00 mark... nice one touch passing leading up to Coates finding Suso...

LFC is back on the rise if that group can turn out any where near as good as they've looked early this season.

Unhappy Brendan Rodgers has spoken to Mike Riley, head of Professional Game Match Officials, regarding referee decisions. LINK

Somehow I doubt that anything will change.

We can expect him back when? April or May at the earliest?

Probably something like that. I'm just going to assume we won't see him again until summer friendlies.

That's probably a safe bet, maybe some matches with the reserves towards the end of the season, if he's ready... No need to rush him back.

I'm always leery of reports that players are ahead of schedule. How many times have we read this only to find that soccer player re-injured shortly after returning?

Kelly needs to take his time. Don't rush this.

Have there been any updates on Lucas recently?

Wonder what the squad will look like when he is healthy.

There was a blurb in the LFC mrntion of the other two... Basically, Rodgers said he hopes to have him soon... been in the pool and cleared for light running...

He may have a fight on his hands for PT when he gets back..

Pretty interesting read on Oliver Holt's coverage of the Suarez, now Terry, racism charges...

It's quite comical the hypocrisy

The entire country is so god damned backward sometimes. Especially the FA. Then again, its probably not much different than how it would play out in the states if it happened here.
