So.. Seeing as the refs all love united, do you all always get fricked this bad or just when you play them? I'm in the 80th minute watching a recording of it and it's sickening

I don't think Liverpool in particular get fricked by the refs more than your average club, but United is just one of those teams that has gotten the benefit of the doubt for years. Suarez won't get the benefit of the doubt, but he can thank the way he plays for that.

I agree with all of this.

But screw my opinion. Screw me. I'm a United fan.

I don't think anyone is attacking you for anything. Like Beast and the FSC guys said, a lot of people believe Man Utd gets the benefit of a lot of calls. It's not just Liverpool.

But the fact of the matter is that there is a way to overcome this. And it's by scoring goals. When you score goals, and win a lot of football games, you're going to be given the benefit of the doubt.

He's upset because I said frick united fans, as a set up to include the refs in that group.

I have no problem with war or the other minority of intelligent non-bandwagon united fans

United's been on the wrong side of a lot of dodgy calls in the past. We lost the title to Chelsea a few years ago when we lost home and away to them on suspect calls. The year Porto won the CL they did so because a Scholes goal was incorrectly ruled offside. I could go on and on. The calls going our way are not nearly as one sided as many people would have you believe.

On a much happier side note, Suso put in a good performance considering the circumstances.

I don't know if I've ever been more ready to just move on from a match than this one. So with that said...

Any lineups for W Brom this week? Me, personally, I'd like to see the exact lineup we saw for the Young Boys match.

I don't understand the hate for Suarez, at least based on the way he plays. He plays his arse off and is very good.

He has a tendency and reputation of going down easily. His whole debacle with Evra hasn't helped anything though.

It sucks, but he is judged more for his performances with the Uruguay national team. He doesn't play like that at Liverpool. At least not this year he hasn't. Seriously, how many times has he dived? He just isn't as bad as he is made out to be.

He does dive at Liverpool, but it's usually in the bigger games. It happens most when he is very stressed, flustered and trying to get a call. He also bitches at the refs constantly which has earned him a bad reputation in and of itself. I've always told people to try and notice the matches where Liverpool go ahead in the first 15-20 minutes. He's a completely different player after that. It opens his game up tremendously and he doesn't feel obligated to get calls for the team.

He dove a good bit last season. Rodgers must have had a talk with him this year because he has toned it down a lot. I've been relatively impressed with how often he has stayed on his feet (still has dove a number of times). His bitching at refs hasn't diminished though, and that really needs to.

What people who don't watch him week in and week out don't realize is that he gets hammered almost as much as any player in the league. Last year he was top 4 (I believe) in players fouled despite missing 9 matches. His craftiness with the ball at his feet makes him a target for opponents, but he does go down easily.

I dont think he dives as much as he amps up the theatrics when he goes down... he draws a lot of contact and fouls...

He does bitch at the refs, but so did Torres... He wears his emotions on his sleeve, when he is pissed it shows and when hes happy he has a big toothy smile from ear to ear...

If he sucked, no one would really care about him...

As erratic as he is, you better hope he stays healthy. I don't think you want Borini leading your strike force.

I agree, If Liverpool is on/competing fine or at least Suarez is having a good day he doesn't dive, he does greatly exaggerate his falls even when there is legit contact which makes him look bad though. When he gets shut down or the spotlight is on the game he tries too hard and ends up diving.
