Newcastle beat everton 2-1. Newcastle will stay in the top four.
Arsenal is beating WBA 2-0 (van Persie is on fire). If we dont get the result Arsenal will pass us up or be ties with us.
Manure went up 1-0 with a goal in first half extra time.
Chelsea is being held by Blackburn 0-0.

Downing is easily my least favorite player in years. He's fricking soft.
Adam is moving up that list as well- just never plays with extra heart and fricking refuses to defend. His yellow early on was indefensible as well.

I like Downing.
I don't like Adam. Like you said he plays with no heart and he is nowhere near as good at corners and free kicks as we thought he was.

Sunderland, Manure, Norwich, and now Swansea. Thats 4 games we couldnt close out. 8 points left on the table.
Its like in 08-09 when we didnt win the league because of all the ties. Except this season we might miss out on top 4/Europe if we dont start winning/scoring

We aren't good. Don't get your hopes up for top 4 unless we make a fantastic purchase in January.

I've tried to keep an open mind on Downing but CANNOT find one redeeming quality so far. If given minutes of space then he can hit a good cross, that's it.
Otherwise he picks terrible passes, picks TERRIBLE times to shoot then hits terrible shots, hangs his head, and most damningly for me at least, he NEVER wins a 50-50 ball. He pulls out of all of them.
Drives me nuts to think Mata was in play, but Downing was the choice.
