Criminal to play Szobo in that position

ETA or maybe I’m wrong. Is he playing an inverted RB?

I kinda like him at RB to get him on the field... yes he is inverted..

But Macca hasn't been 100% all season and that tackle on his ankle didn't help.. but its clear we needed something different and having a RB that could provide more width seemed like a good choice... it was Bradley over Frimpong..

I’m ready for isak. That will help. Ekitike can come off left or back up.

I’m ready for Salah to get back to the form he was in last year.
5 games in and he’s had little impact despite plenty of opportunities to make a difference. His touch in and around the box just hasn’t been good most of the time.

Salah has 2 goals and an assist in 4 league games. It's not like he's been a ghost this season. There was no way he was ever going to match last year's output with the players we brought in and guys like Rio and Fede growing into their squad roles. Haaland will win back the Golden Boot this season and I'm fine with that. He'll do it on a team that finishes 3rd or 4th in the table. Great to see Robbo ready to go the minute he was called on.

I still think we'll put it together and the attack will start clicking soon... Coming off an international break and playing Burnley, parking the bus.. was never going to be the match where it all comes together... plus Isak still to bring in...

I think Robbo has to be the starter the foreseeable future and we need to integrate Kerkez in slower.. he's definitely got talent, but I'm seeing shades of Moreno... I keep going back to the way Klopp used to slowly bring in the new signings with few exceptions...

In other news... although I will hate a 2 week int'l break, I'm glad to see that they will start to combine the sept/oct breaks into one, later in Sept... I hate the early sept break...

LSU FB and Liverpool have the same offense?
Burnley was so packed in--- thought we brought in Wirtz to
dissect teams in tight quarters

I'm not sure it's that simple. He was brought in for his overall game as one of the best young attacking talents in football.. It will take time to acclimate to the league and new teammates... plus, breaking down a well organized, 10 behind the ball defense isn't that easy...

I don't think people are giving Scott Parker and Burnley enough credit. They put on a defensive clinic up until the handball. Unfortunately for them and the locals at Turf Moor, we did as well.

David Lynch put an interesting video out analyzing Wirtz's advanced stats today. He shows them side by side to Bruno and Cole Palmer. I know I've repeatedly white knighted for #7 but if he keeps putting in these performances the assists and goals will follow. Check it out.

Florian Wirtz
