4 wins in 11 days
In 2 games we had Gomez starting as a holding midfielder
In a Cup final we had a 20 year old second choice Right Back playing Winger for an extended period
Regardless of how this all ends it’s pretty obvious that Klopp is the best coach in the world.

Does anyone have an estimate on when we expect everyone back?
I'm hoping we field the stronger sides for City at home and the home match against Sparta Prague... Weakened sides this Thursday and at United in the FA Cup, though we can possibly go for it a bit more with two weeks off after... really just depends on who all is back and when... Darwin and Dom is a start...
3/7 - Sparta Prague (Away) - Europa
3/10 - Manchester City (Home) - EPL
3/14 - Sparta Prague (Home) - Europa
3/17 - Manchester United (Away) - FA Cup
3/31 - BHA - EPL

Something has to give
and I think its the FA cup
The fact that we get to show off our youth is awesome
Keep some for depth and boost up the price on them when we sell

Yeah - I don't want to overhype him too much, but if Danns continues to get playing time and looks good in the process... he may make Gakpo expendable. I like Cody and think he's a solid squad player, but if we can recoup our £ and promote Danns to the first team... thats a win/win...
Especially if we get Alonso/Amorin and they stick to their current systems (3-4-3).. because I think that would push Szobo into the front 3...
Still really want another left footed forward...

Not saying the DANNS DAY was a fluke
but would like to see a couple more big days from
him. The thing about youth is its up and down.
I'm not big on Gapko but with our injuries
I'm thankful he is here

I think his natural position is a "9.5" and the best 9.5 in the last decade in the premiere league is who Gakpo is directly replacing. Bobby was 1 of 1 as a footballer. Really hard shoes to fill. You can count on Jota to miss extended time every year. I thought it was a coup to get Gakpo in, because he basically signed on knowing that there were 5 guys for 3 spots .
Curious to see what our outgoing transfer market looks like post Klopp. Coutinho was the last guy we "lost" to a transfer that was a consistent starter and not just a guy whos contract was winding down or was on the down turn of his career. Some tough decisions will have to be made in regards to some of our long time stars. There's a fine line between maximizing return and squeezing every ounce of talent left that a player has. It's good to see that at least at face value, we may not be as reliant on the transfer market moving forward. The academy overhaul under Klopp has set us up for the long haul. Hopefully we can get Xabi in and hold off Madrid for a while

I liked getting Gakpo b/c his size, as all of the other strikers on the team are small in Salah, Jota, Diaz.
Nunez at 6'2" has decent height, but Gakpo at 6'4" should be more of a threat in the air than he is. 16 total goals for the club since he's joined and just 1 header goal.
Not sure why i expected that, i guess just b/c of his size, but he only has 2 other header goals in his career, so i guess it's just not somethign he excels at, but at his size you'd expect more from that part of his game.
Nunez has 6 headers in 75 appearances
Gakpo has 1 header in 56 appearances
I wouldn't mind looking for an upgrade to replace Gakpo. he hasn't impressed me much since joining the club, and i'd like it to be a big CF type player who's a threat with his head as a goal scorer, and someone you can target in the air.

I think his best position is on the left wing, I feel thats where he seems more instinctual, though not blessed with pace... I think we have tried to mold him into a false 9, with mixed results..
I think he's versatile and good as a squad player and occasional starter... But in this day and age of balancing the books, I wouldn't be disappointed if we were able to cash in...
Offseason will be interesting... the obvious ones to move on are Matip and Thiago, which will free up some wages...
I def wouldn't be surprised if we see one of the bigger names move on though... pure speculation..

Plays smaller and don't remember a GREAT headder from

Hope he turns it on the next 90 days

Haven’t seen any pics or vids but rumors that Mo was back in training today
Would be massive if he could play 30-45 min on Thursday and possibly start Sunday but that might be greedy
Also just FWIW our game in Prague on Thursday is at 11:45am ct
