Hopefully Ronaldo can make the Spain v Portugal game somewhat interesting. I feel like the media and of fans in general are afraid to call out Spain for playing boring as hell soccer. They're living off Euro 2008 in terms of having a rep as an actual exciting team. I'm sorry but I fail to see how getting a 1-0 lead and then having Xavi and the back four pass the ball around the rest of the game is any better than old school Italian teams that got dogged for being so defensive

I stand corrected. Point stands.

Add Spanish in there too. A bit ridiculous really.

Anyone but Italy please!

Portugal over spain, germany over italy.

Portugal win but the final proves to be a great match with good offensive football with a 3-2 or 2-1 scoreline.....

I actually like the way italy have been playing and expect them to beat the germans. It will be a good game sure but Germany doesn't prioritize defending as much as England. Italians should be able to find a goal or two and they are always solid defensively

Fact to this: Ozil was born in West Germany thus making him a German Citizen

Not when Ozil has lived in Germany for his entire life.. Unless you're a Master Race believer.

I find their play incredibly boring, even when they don't have the lead. Granted they don't have much of a choice when you put 11 behind the ball. I just get sleepy watching them sit at the top of the attacking third and pass it around the horn over, and over, and over, and over, and over, until they find an opening. Sure it works, but Jesus It gets old. I'm prepared to be crucified for saying that, but whatever. EPL > La Liga right?

I think this tournament is Germany's to lose. Their off the ball movement is absolutely sick right now. They're out-Spanishing the Spanish at their own game. And the fun part is that they actually push into the box instead of pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass (15 minutes later John Terry slips), through ball - goal.

How could you hate on this man who is proof in the American dream?

Sidenote: Not enough JFT admiration lately.

No one in America should play for the USMNT because their ancestors immigrated here. A player named Bocanegra? Rubbish!

So if the USMNT fields a team with 8 or 9 Mexicans on it what will your thoughts be?

I think Portugal beats Spain. I said it. Pepe and Bruno Alves have been the best CB pairing of the tournament. Nani and CR7 will give Arbeloa and Alba fits.
