Does this sort of work in our favor considering he's a bit familiar with him.

Lamela is a MUCH better player than Yedlin.

Yeah, there's no arguing that, but he's our best hope on that side. I hope his speed will be able to neutralize him.

Yedlin does have speed on Lamela, but Lamela will skillfrick him.

I think we'll be okay. We support the National Team with the best RB remaining in the tournament according to countless managers.

I wouldn't say he's some what familiar with him at all. Yedlin barely practiced with the Spurs first team.

Is my memory failing me, or didn't a young Deandre Yedlin put an in-form Eden Hazard in his hip pocket in Brazil? Lamela is the last guy I'm worried about in the attacking third

The same Hazard that didn't score for like 6 months this season?

Of all guys Lamela isn't even on the radar as the one who worries me.

The best player in the world
Is Aguero going to play at all? He's a freak when healthy.
Di Maria
Higuain

In that order.

I'm not sure if Di Maria will play or not. Aguero is healthy. Gaitan scares me more than Lamela right now and I won't be surprised if he gets the start.

Argentina has an embarrassment of riches. They have the most individual talent in the world be some margin. Lamela is a really good player, Yedlin has seen and stifled better players. He's not the guy I'm worried about. Could he hurt us? Absolutely. It's soccer.

Gaitan is out for the US match. Accumulated yellows.

I'm most worried about the middle without Jones especially if Beckerman is who Jurgen trots out. I think we get absolutely owned up the middle and Argentina will be off a racing against our back four.

I open to see Besler at LB to keep the CB pairing. Insert Yedlin at RB. Fabs at LM and Zusi at RM (I prefer Pulisic but Zusi will add coverage for Yedlin when he bombs forward). Clint in the False 9 and Zardes up top.

It is far from ideal but it's what I am expecting.

Lamela looks comfortable with what Argentina is trying to do, but yeah I can't blame people for not "putting him on the radar".

DiMaria didn't play but I wouldn't be surprised if it's because we knew going in that Venezuela was going to hack. They are always cocky against us and it always gets chippy when we blow the doors off of them.

US seems like a classy squad so maybe DiMaria will feel more comfortable on Tuesday. But who knows. Adductor injury? That sucks.

If the dreaded one starts, all bets are off. He, like Xabi Alonso, love to get beat and take a hack at someone while still seeming like a harmless customer.
