This is stupid. Why would they be? I think we've all seen what happens to players who anger Jurgen.

Yanks need to realize that the ceiling for the US is a CONCACAF powerhouse, nothing more, will never even dream of coming close to the standard set by most South American and European nations.
It's amazing that six people were dumb enough to upvote this.

Cwill, you´re correct. It´s a matter of time, with proper planning and the corresponding execution.
Time? I think it´s longer than most hope for, however.

Hard to understand if you've never lived in Europe, but the gap is just too large in so many different areas to really think that it will ever be closed.
I've lived in Europe.
You're wrong.

I think we can all agree with that, Dandy. That pretty much sums it up. I just hope I can watch us be great before I get too old.

I agree with this. People keep forgetting that we have only taken the sport seriously for 20 years, whereas some European countries and South American countries have had soccer as their national sport for 100+ years. For some reason people want to shite all over us because we haven't accomplished the same as other countries in 1/5 of the time. And to say we will never obtain the same prominence as a European or South American country, despite all evidence showing incredible investment and growth of the sport here, is just foolish.
