I started the match rooting for England, but Italy was such a better team. They fully deserved the win, and they were unlucky to have to go to PKs.
Pirlo was the man of the match for me, but Balotelli did very well. Lots of legit opportunities throughout the game.
I also thought Diamanti did well as a sub. For England, Joleon Lescott was their best player. Very disruptive in the box and was the only English player who could check Balotelli.
Very, very entertaining game. Best quarterfinal match by far and one of the best of the tournament.
