In terms of technical play, has there been a better USMNT goal than this?

LINK

The fact that it starts off with Cameron in the backline and, with a couple of quick one touch passes, all of the sudden Bradley is in the attacking third and finds Jozy for the finish.

It's just great to watch. I also love the fact that it happened against a talented European team and not some CONCACAF trash.

Oddly enough, I can remember a lot of good technically sound goals from a U-21 World Cup. Freddy Adu and Jozy tore up the place.

Wish they had the first couple of touches. That's one thing I've always felt holds soccer back in this country. They only seem to show the goal itself rather than what leads up to it, and to me that's the best part.

Que?

It shows Cameron to Sacha, one touch to Johannson, one touch back to Sacha, thru ball to Bradley to Jozy.

I watched it earlier, could barely tell what was going on with Cameron's touch or even that it was Cameron that passed it. Now "There's a problem with the network". So I can't see what I missed. But still, if the clip started a couple seconds earlier it would be clearer.

Either way, I stand by my statement about highlights of goals.

I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about.

Great goal. Best one in recent memory. I would love to see more play like that from the nats.

ETA: Interesting comment here:

And on that day one player scored as much as? all other teams had scored on Bosnia so far in UEFA qualification.

The counter attack goal orchestrated by Davies and Donovan in the 2009 Confederations cup was a textbook example of a classic counter.

Eta: I see why I wasn't clear, I was talking about when shows like sportscenter show highlights of goals. They don't show the ball being worked up the field, they show basically the shot itself. Loses a lot of the drama when they show a forward passing the ball into the goal rather than the four or five passes that created the opportunity.

I remember that one well, specifically because I remember Brazil scoring against us on an identical counter attack in the group stage.

Which game was that.

I still love the build up in the Algerian match. I believe it was Timmy, Landon, Jozy, Clint, Landon. Everybody meet in the corner.
