oh come on

What? I recall mostly just watching them in champions league.
Adding West Ham to my list and Spurs are out of contention. I know too many Arsenal guys in real life and I'd get a lot of shite for that actually.
My two choices are:
Everton
West Ham
I like the fact that WHU don't have a main rival in the top division of English football. Also love "Bubbles" and their working class background. Leaning heavily towards them right now. Sticks with my desire to have a favorite team in London but not have it be a powerhouse, and Spurs are generally pretty solid too.

ummmmm they play in London, so they have rivals. Just bc Millwall is two divisions down doesn't mean they dont have main rivals. Let me guess, you watched Green Street and thought you know all about them.

Man you sound like a major pansy.
You don't want to like United anymore because people roll their eyes at you.
You eliminate Spurs because your friends will tease you.
You like West Ham because they "DON'T have a rival" and they blow bubbles?
We would not be friends irl.

If you ruled out Spurs because you have irl Gunner fans and you're afraid of being teased, then you did yourself a favor. If that was going to bother you then you definitely wouldn't have been able to handle the actual games. Gotta have thick skin and unlimited amounts of (false?) hope all the time.

I need to find an EPL or Championship team to follow.

I've seen it yes but I know a lot about them aside from that. I know the biggest WHU fan in Columbia SC and he's about to start an official SC Hammers supporters group.

My problem is I like a lot of different things about a lot of BPL teams. Hell I might just not have a team and enjoy watching all the matches as I have been since NBC got the contract. Maybe I should go full hipster and choose a Championship side instead.

I can't believe it....but I'm going to actually agree with Randy.

Millwall fans still shite disturbers?
I can remember Leeds fans who were embarrassed by the "Service Crew", and refused to even acknowledge their existence.

I know all about Millwall and I know well enough that if I ever go to London I'd never be caught wearing the wrong team's colors in the wrong part of the city. I just wouldn't wear any team affiliated gear like you mostly see in the stands anyway.

Honestly given your criteria, I have no earthly idea why you would pick west ham over crystal Palace. To me CPFC is easily the best combination of "underdog" mixed with a team that will actually try to go at the big boys, they have pace and athleticism all over the pitch right now, their fans are awesome, they actually are in a "working class" section of london(putting it kindly) and they are easily the most fun team to watch outside of the big boys with the exception of maybe Swansea.
