How are American PSG fans viewed?

So I’m new to soccer and have been learning French for a while. My online tutor is a big PSG fan who lives in Paris and suggested I follow PSG. I know they’re top of the world right now and people shite on them for their Qatar connection. Is there really any difference than someone being a Barca fan or any other random top-tier club as a foreigner?

Most of the Americans you will run into won't know who PSG are anyway. Root for the team you have a connection to.

Honestly if anyone gives you grief they can stuff it, this is a better connection than like 90% of American fans have to Euro clubs
