I'd go with Leverkusen. Like HH said, they've got the best player in the league with Kai, but they've also got the future national team's CB in Tah and Leon Bailey is exciting to watch, though inconsistent.

They've also got some pretty sweet unis if you're into that sort of thing. Biggest drawback is that this is probably the last year for their best player before he moves to one of the giants.

If you don't go with Leverkusen, Werder Bremen could be an option. They've got a great CF in Kruse and have signed a few American dudes previously.

Then next you’ll be saying 3 Liga is for pussies and regionalliga is where the sauce is. How the frick did Kaiserslautern get to this point?

Go to a Loserkusen game and you’ll be looking for other teams to root for cuz your match day experience included to listening to corporate buzzwords from the people sitting around you.

If you like to follow teams that break your heart and kick you in the nutz, then this is your team 100%.

In hockey it was always the St.Louis Blues, they changed that, BMG still the nut crusher for their fans.

With ESPN+ getting German league, be a Bremen fan. Follow the ginger

Still have Rashica and then the Eggesteins are both pretty solid, young players up top. I still expect us to put up a decent number of goals this season but no doubt losing Kruse will hurt.

I was kind of smitten with Leverkusen about 10 years ago and then I went to the BayArena...talk about buzz kill. After the game, went back to Cologne and went to Fruh am Dom, one of my fave bars all time, and the bartenders were making fun of me for going there.

Not one mention of Hertha.

Amazing how irrelevant the Berlin club is.

Berlin is a weird town. Very sterile and very bureaucratic. Not my fave town by a long shot.

Another team no one has mentioned is SC Freiburg. Awesome town and fun team to watch.

frick it, you don’t want a front runner, but if anyone does it right, it’s Dortmund.
