As of August 1st, 2016 the Louisiana Premier League, sanctioned and operated by the Louisiana Soccer Association, has folded to make way for the newly formed Gulf Coast Premier League. The league will now operate as it’s own entity as a non-profit organization while expanding itself to clubs outside of Louisiana along the gulf coast.

Come on now...did they even try with this name? At least Mandeville United tells me where the team is based out of.

Ha...yes, Real United FC Riverhawks is their name. They're from Pascagoula, and no they're not in the GCPL.

With so many aficionados on this board, I'd like to see some show a little support for an organization that's trying to bring the game we love to our great state/region.

If not, no biggie, Gunners all day.

My college intramural soccer team had two squads...an A squad and a B squad.

A squad was called Yo Mama.

B squad was called Rectum Sore.

Good for them. Maybe they will focus on their league growing instead of taking shots at other leagues now

Haven't followed the league very close but I've been told that a lot of the Rafters best players didn't participate in the GCPL and are instead playing in the one that's about to start. Was this the case with the other teams too?
