No shite. Nonetheless, there are now three hellatious groups as it stands, for sure.

Prince is a damn fine player but he's also crazy. Essien hasn't been the same player for quite a while. I would be more worried about the Ayew brothers.
Agree the Ayew brothers are a handful. They're not always clinical when I see them with Marseilles but they create all kinds of havoc for defenders.
Is Boateng stepping off his throne to play this summer?

I would assume so. He's retired from the NT once already I think, so who knows what he's going to do. He will probably play. He'll be the lynchpin of that Ghana attack.

I don't know how they see us. They are more athletic than us but we probably have the better technicians. Very even squads on paper.

quote:I may be wrong, but I don´t think they give a shite. They think they´re the kings of Africa, and expect to win. Always, no matter the foe. This is the beauty of an African side which is on any type of roll. I don´t think they lose sleep over the US, like many do here, thinking of them.

Group B is tougher
Only if you're Australia. All four teams in Group G are in the top twenty five ranked teams internationally.
For B, Spain is 1, Netherlands 9, Chile 15, and Australia out of the top 50. G is Germany 2, Portugal 5, USA 14, and Ghana 25.
Just going by the rankings, G is by far the hardest.

Top to bottom Group G is the toughest. In Group B, those teams can take a deep breath when they play Australia, let's just be honest. With that being said, the WC always has surprises and that includes favorites complexly tanking. Anyone who has watched Portugal knows they really struggle at times. I doubt they can muster a draw or a win for that matter against Germany.
Playing a Simulation Scenario in my head
1st Game
1. Germany 3
2. Ghana 1
2. US 1
4. Portugal 0
If something like this happens Portugal will come guns blazing in match 2. The US could get a win but like a draw.
2nd Game Probabilities
1. Germany 6
2. US 2
3. Ghana 1
4. Portugal 1
Now, the US has Germany and Ghana or Portugal could back door us on a win. This is why the US team must win its opening match with Ghana because you don't want a scenario where you have to depend on a point or even worst a win against the Germans.
The US must win its first match to have a realistic shot of making it to the knockout round.
