Nah, it's so that Robben, Sneijder and Van Persie do not have to defend. The problem is that when facing one striker, dynamic movement horizontally can confuse who is supposed to be marking who. Costa moves across the line and no one knows whether they should follow. Even worse is when Spain get a chance between the lines and they have to decide which player steps up to close that space down. All sorts of problems in this system versus one striker. Costa's movement this game has been nothing short of brilliant. People might hate him but he's as good as Aguero off the ball.

man ramos just pushed sneijder (may have been robben) and no foul. if the dutch did that, the spaniard would have fallen and the dutchman would have received a yellow. bullshite fricking game
