Jones should have had that shot.

Hit it right at the keeper. UGH.
The young guys stepped up in the last two games. So excited for Brazil.

god, this just pisses me off now knowing that there was a missed foul on their only goal. nice 2nd half
eta: not just missed foul, but a defender pushed down leading to their goal

I'm happy with this game. Young guys really played well and the future looks bright.

Great game from the boys.
It was incredible to watch a South American team bunker down and hold on for dear life against us.

Especially one in the FIFA top 25.

I agree with this. The second half we were much more aggressive. Lichaj is a definite spark, as are many of the younger guys. We are still having issues finishing plays, and getting the proper touch on the ball in close quarter situations. This can only improve with the individual players skill level, which unfortunatly lags behind the upper echelons of Europe.
We have a lot of room for improvement, but if we can find a replacement for Bornstein we should get better. It will be fun to watch this team continue to improve with time.

paraguay is generally pretty negative, but there was a lot of good to take from that

That gap is going to be pretty small in a few years.

I'm really looking forward to playing some significantly inferior opposition soon, though.

It still baffles me how he's our only true LB (besides Heath Pearce who wasn't called up).

I agree that our second halves tend to generally be better. What is the reasoning behind it? Better fitness, possibly a bad original gameplan (before the half), etc. I really that this team has some potential and like everyone has stated the young guys definitely bring a spark.

We're always losing and need to come from behind.
