I think Bornstein may be right footed and not know.

You should twitter that to him. Maybe retweet it to Coach Bob too.

I through that one in mix, simply as a benchmark for how terrible Bornstein was last night.

There's no possible way Beasely could have been any worse. We could have put Robbie Findley at left back and he would have been just as efficient.

maybe not, but if bob bradley brought him back to play left-back, i would immediately jump on what's left of the "fire bob" bandwagon

that is one situation that we should just never, ever go back to

Lulz.

The key with having backs that overlap is their ability to cross at the end of it. Thus the argument to have a natural left footer on the left.

Especially for the way the US plays with Donovan on the left and Dempsey on the right, both cutting in towards the middle.

Having an outside back that also has to cut in to cross does nothing for you.

Bornstein can be marginally effective when he's playing well. He was downright embarrassing last night, though. I honestly felt bad for him when he tripped on the ball in the second half.

Let's hope Zack Loyd progresses.

It's funny, but it's true.

Bornstein's play last night should be enough for Bob to never speak with him again.

At least until he's playing regularly and well for UNAM, which will probably never happen.

I've calmed down from last night and I've had a chance to rewatch the game.

Most of my points stand. The linesman sucked. #13 needs to DIAF. Bradley and Chandler were our best players. Yelldell isn't ready for primetime.

I was too hard on Ream. He made some mistakes, but he wasn't at fault for the goal and he didn't play as poorly as it looked from my position last night. I still don't rate him very highly, though.

I had completely blocked Bornsucko's awfulness from my mind. Wow, he was horrific. Skeletor needs to lose his job if Bornsucko puts on the kit again.

So I learned that it is much harder to "rate" players while watching live. However, My buddy has never watched soccer before and decided he wanted to go with us on the trip. After a play early in the first half, he looks at me and says that guy sucks. I told him we called him Bornsucko for a reason. The only guys that really stuck out in a good way for me were Tim Chandler and Michael Bradley. I thought Bradley played a very underrated game. Oh, and #13 was trash all night, how he didn't get sent off is beyond me.

13 and 21 had about 11 fouls each.

21 didn't even get a card.

He's the most promising guy we have in MLS right now.

He set up a beautiful goal in week 1, but left last year's golden boot winner completely unmarked inside the six for a goal this week.
