It is not like he can help it with clubs constantly raiding his squads.

I thought he was doing a pretty good job until this current down turn. I'm not certain if he was given enough time to figure his way out of it. But Teams won't mess around this year as staying in the premier league is even more important than ever with the money getting ready to come in.

This isn't a short span of poor form. It's been since the 1st international break. He has been given a lot of leeway here because he is a club legend. This stat tells the tale as of late: 29 shots on target in the first 4 games; 27 in 11 games since. And that doesn't even address the defense being an absolute mess of late either

Wish him the best of luck. Did more for this club than most but it's time to move on

What? Basically same squad as last half of last year plus Ayew.

ETA: SCH, it's Garry

Wow

I guess he should have jumped when he got the chance. I really thought he was set up to be at Swans for a long, long time.

He could have been but we have been putrid as of late. Look the part of relegation team. Reminds me of the final days of Laudrup the way they have looked.

And as said earlier with the money coming in next season you cannot afford to get relegated this year.

Was watching the EPL week in review show, and the fans were 100% behind keeping MOnk.

They felt that he was getting all he could out of the squad he was handed this season.

They also felt that this year was kind of a wash, and next year the team should be better, per transfers.

Board obviously felt differently.

That paints it with a very different brush. I know you are reporting what you watched but it's far from the truth. Fans were at best split on firing him now or later. His squad is the same as the one that finished 8th last season plus the addition of Ayew who has been the best player (only good one to be honest) this season. And you can never write off a year as a wash when you are very close to the relegation zone and haven't looked the part of turning it around for 11 games.

Now the players also hold a massive part in this. They are showing little to no fight out there and it's embarrassing. Something had to have happened behind the scenes for the team to do a complete 180 that it did after the hot start to the season

I was shocked at how poor Sigurdsson has been this season, he lost his starting gig, and really didn't fight to win it back. Just took the 2nd half Sub gig and played on.

He has but you could list almost everyone as poor with the exception of Ayew. Just shockingly awful all across the field

Report that Brendan Rodgers is not in consideration for the job

They looked so good to start the season, what happened? It doesnt bother me, his teams usually give Arsenal all they can handle.

Looks like it's going to be between Ryan Giggs and Dennis Bergkamp
