re: France vs England In game thread (11 AM CDT ESPN, ESPN3, ESPN8(the Ocho))

Yeah I didn't think France was exactly throwing caution to the wind. They had the ball but were playing at a glacially slow tempo. If they could somehow get a goal fine, but they didn't want to give away a fluky counter.
the last sequence in injury time, France slowly moves the ball around and then takes a long-range shot.
Boring game.

I love Michael Ballack's attitude.
You can park 3 buses infront of the net. I'm not impressed

Agreed, most boring game so far

I hope Ballack punches Lalas.

Ballack just shut Alexi up

England were more to blame for that without a doubt. I just think as it got later on in the match France was more and more ok with a draw.
I didn't even really know that Shevchenko was still playing.

England played not to lose. New manager, new system. France was just happy not to surrender.
And Ballack spray paints the bald spot on top of his head.

Lalas was my favorite American player of all time. But his views on England are terrible. Yeah, I'm mad, bro.
I think Ballack looked like an idiot on the first day of coverage. But he seems like a champion compared to Lalas, now.

What did he say? I'm surprised because he had no problem shredding them in 2010.

What were they arguing about?
Lalas is the worst. Ballack sounds like a mumbling, chopped and screwed remix of most German analysts, but even that is better than Lalas's commentary. He sounds like he is auditioning for a soccer version of that stupid show with Skip Bayless and Stephen A Smith.
It's kind of surreal looking back at Lalas in the 94 cup with the out of control hair, goatee, and denim jersey. He looks like a chill dude who would just smoke 4 bowls a day and go to Phish concerts all summer.

Michael Ballack is Matt Damon's twin.

I missed the game but I think England should be pretty glad for this result, I think they can advance out of the group now and maybe have the honor of getting eliminated by the Germans again.

Hmm he is definitely not bad, not my type though.

Does 1A not play 2B... 1C play 2D? If so they would play Spain/Italy

good match. I was happy with the result. Enjoyed watching the game. Can't wait for Rooney to come back. He will bring some excitement to the England attack. I thought Gerrard played very very well.

REALLY? Jordan Henderson REALLY?
it's sad he is the only true CM off the bench.

Henderson over Walcott?
Walcott doesn't play CM smart arse.

. If that was England "playing well" then they fricking suck.
considering the injuries and the lack of Rooney they did quite well. What was your teams reasoning for tying with an underwhelming English team?
