For those irrationally complaining about the result

It was a cup final against a team that bunkered hard to try and get the game to PKs because that was their only chance at winning. Just look at the possession.

We won the Gold Cup and are CONCACAF Champions for the first time in years. We played our worst game in a long time and still won against a good team that took out Mexico and was ready to play.

Wasn't great, but it was nowhere near "worst in a long time."
Honestly, Panama didn't get a single shot on goal against us...they bunkered extremely well and we still won.
The game against Costa Rica was "worse".
Just because I didn't think it was the worst doesn't mean I thought we played "great."

Panama was (easily) the second best team in this tournament, and maybe the second best team (top to bottom) in qualifying this cycle, and we whipped their arse up and down the field. We didn't score a lot of goals, but we dominated them on the field, just like we did every other team in this tournament. And this was Panama's "A" team, minus Felipe Baloy.
AND we did with Landon Donovan and his merry troupe of Kyle Beckerman/Michael Parkhurst/Chris Wondolowski All Stars.

The only thing I didn't like was we didn't have the killer instinct to go up 2-0 or 3-0 late with the opportunities. Brek Shea didn't pull the trigger with space on that break away and demolition man missed a wide open net tap in over the bar otherwise I thought we played pretty well. With all that said a win is a win

Uhh we just dominated their A team with our B team. Ppl who are complaining are infidels.
