It wasn't bad at all but comparing it to most of the Euro's sans the 04 with Greece playing ultra defensive football it's been really really good imo.

The biggest problem of an expanded field is killing any resemblance of excitement in CONCACAF qualifying. I don't know what the proposed plan was, but I gotta think CONCACAF at the bare minimum would have been given two additional teams.

It may take some excitement away from the USMNT, but there will still be the same excitement for whatever the new cutoff is.

If you care whether or not Israel and Iran qualifies, sure. At least the USMNT got to wallow in the same filth as Italy and Netherlands. Knowing that a couple of football giants were left out along with us helped with a *little* of the pain. 16 additional teams is going to kill this fun.

I was referring to the Trinidads, Honduras, Canada, etc., but Africa's qualifying is notoriously bullshite, so it should be a welcomed change for them.

I mean If you couldn’t appreciate the Greek performance in 2004 then it’s tough to say you appreciate the sport at all.

Winning a major tournament playing how they did tactically should be praised.

Sorry bruh, was it a defensive master class they displayed, yes. Did I enjoy watching them put 10 players behind the ball most of the tournament, no.

I thought the expanded Euros was great. Iceland and Wales were fun to watch.

I’m mostly talking about the World Cup

Not disagreeing, but Iceland didn't need the expanded field to necessarily get in. They beat the Dutch twice in qualifiers, that was enough to get anyone in.

So you add 16 teams to the WC...

1 OFC
2 CONCACAF
3 UEFA
3 CONMEBOL
2 AFC
2 CAF

3 playoff spots

Is Mitroglou still Greece’s best attacker? Lol
