Already had a glitch in manager mode
my default formation is 4-3-3, it even shows it in the pre match screen.

Yeah. I noticed that too. When you adjust between defensive/attacking in game, it'll change my 433 to a 4231 to protect a lead. But I also have had it just start the game in a 4231 before any adjustments.
I've managed to sell enough old guys and resist having decent squad depth now to sign probably 3-4 guys on pre contracts with the MLS/Chinese contracts being so cheap.

Haven't had the opportunity to play too much, think I've gotten in 3 games. I like they made it more difficult, I was beating the CPU 3-0 on Legandary in '18, and now I'm squeaking out 1-1 draws on World Class in '19.
I'll play a bit more this evening and see how things shake out.

In squad screen you have to edit the formation for each strategy...ultra def, def, attacking and ultra attacking if you don’t the only changes to the formation you made are for balanced.

I can win somewhat consistently on legendary again but I need to get used to playing wide after running the narrow 4-4-2 diamond the past couple of years. Have been using the 4-2-2-2 and 4-3-3 defensive.
Do most of yall’s goals come off of a winger doing a skill move then hitting a finesse shot near the top of the box? Feels like most of mine do.

The pre-contracts in this game are so broken. I can sign an entirely new squad if I want.

Used to drive me crazy in FIFA 2005 how your fullbacks and CBs would just randomly swap positions during the game. I played with Chelsea once and all of a sudden I notice William Gallas at RB and Paulo Ferreira at CB.

I beat City to make the FA Cup QF. It was the best game I've played on 19 by far. Mount had a hat trick. I'm going back and forth with West Brom in the league right now.

I have no problem scoring, but I can't defend crosses at all. 50% of them result in goals against me.

The ball in this year takes much more natural bounces and players react to it more realistic in this years FIFA. Esp when a cross gets cleared out the air.

I'm assuming you're playing with a lower level side. Have your GKs been making horrendous errors? Mine are doing dumber things than on any fifa ever.
