Supposedly the staff all spoke Portuguese in staff meetings to exclude Dunc from the conversations. Silva also apparently banned "raising your voice" in the locker room for whatever reason, so it's no surprise this team came out with more passion and energy when he was gone.

Both of those statements are equally incredible.

They must be extreme minorities then

Evertonians loathe tories for the most part and all the Everton sites are having meltdowns

It’s rather like me and Droll Timothy holding season passes to Portland FC, I gather. I’ve sold all my ducats to touts this year on account of the club essentially signing off on far left antagonism by their ultras.

I’ll not support that and at least Everton FC as a whole stay largely apolitical.

He doesn't actually know any, he's trolling.

In actual Everton news, Arteta's name is being thrown into the mix now along with Ancelotti. Sounds like Emery is out. Hopefully Moyes is a distant backup plan.

I’ve literally a mate nicknamed “Droll Timothy”. That’s about as British as you’ll ever come across, lad.

If we're going to roll the dice and give someone a long stretch to prove themselves Arteta seems like the pick for me.

Of course I'd rather an experienced manager with a history of success, but Arteta has a combination of familiarity with successful clubs in the Prem and understanding/connection to Everton. I don't think we necessarily need the latter, but I do that unless the manager has is own culture and appeal (Ancelotti) then someone needs to make Everton relevant to the 18-22 year old world talents we want to target who've never lived in an era where Everton was at the forefront.

Love how we came out in a 5-3-2, once the kickoff took place, Holgate entered the midfield.
Love that we found a way to get Bernard in the lineup. Dude gives it his all.

Kean was subbed 17 min after coming on. Went straight into the tunnel.
Not sure what he did or didn’t do, but he wasn’t injured.

I'm sure you've all seen this, but this post-match interview by Ferguson is absolutely fantastic. What a guy.

Twitter video.

Sky sports reporting that it's a done deal.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting info going around though, so I'll wait for Paul Joyce to report it before I believe it.

Not a huge fan of this TBH.
Not thinking this is a long term nor short term solution.
Feel like we're just throwing money and praying again. Seems to be our MO.

I disagree here. Our recent failures seemed to come from hiring up and comers hoping they would take the next step with us and it never happened. Ancelotti is a proven winner, so it it different from our past hires.

I think this poses the opposite problem potentially. Will he be able to have success at a smaller club than he is used to?

I hope so, especially after Kean's benching yesterday.
