It would be hilarious to see the melt on here if Earnie and McBride leave but Gregg still stays on.

Gio making them all look like fools. The more he scores the dumber GGG looks for the “limited role!”
Hell, give Claudio the job!

Plot twist: Klinsmann is named Sporting Director and Jürgen Derangement Syndrome (JDS) goes through the roof.

This makes me wonder if Claudio and Momma Reina (can’t remember her name) had more info regarding the incestuous way Gregg (and maybe Earnie AND Brian) landed the job.

I doubt it, and if they did, I'm sure Stewart, McBride and Berhalter have dirt on Claudio that could cost him if his Austin FC job.

I just think Earnie and McBride were like frick this shite and bailed after all this came out. Although in McBride's statement, he says he informed the federation of his departure in October.

And now Claudio is out at Austin.

God damn she dropped a hydrogen bomb on US soccer that even took out her husband.

Haha holy shite.

I guess it makes sense though. If he is willing to take down his best friend, he's willing to take down anyone. Not sure Garber and co. want that.

ETA: It says Reyna will still have a role with the team, and that noted-Berhalter guy Josh Wolff will take over on interim basis. Basically the entire 2002 World Cup squad is eating each other.

Couldn’t have been better timing for after that comment.

Even Klinsmann’s critics said he was very good at organization and building up the youth system. It was his tactics that fricking sucked. I think he would do very well in a director role as long as he gives the coach free reign on player call ups.

Yes

JK as the director of US Soccer could work. He had good ideas and did a lot in trying to build a much better infrastructure that we're seeing dividends of today. I imagine he also helped the US-German cooperation that has really helped develop our younger guys to good for US play.

JK as an actual team manager? Disaster.
