Yeah, but is he a US citizen yet? He should get a look on the wings soon.

Aparently his dad is getting citizenship (he lives in the DC area). He's still a minor until next January and can get citizenship through his dad.

so they didn't need the best attackers.
But their attackers were Totti and Del Piero, two of the best trequartistas ever, Luca Toni, who just scored 31 league goals, Pippo Inzaghi, who was awesome, and the hard working Alberto Gilardino, who wasn't a terrible finisher himself. That Italy team was so loaded.

I think they are talking about Darlington Nagbe. Zelalem won't ever play on the wings.

I overstated my point, but basically that attacking group was equal to 5-10 other teams at that tournament while that defense was basically a World XI.

Yeah, I meant Nagbe, apparently he becomes a citizen in 2015. Good to hear about Zelalem though.

In my view, the fact they had both Del Piero and Totti in their attacking line meant they probably had the best attacking group in that tournament. The other competitors would have been France with Henry and Trezeguet, maybe Germany with Klose and Podolski, and maybe some others I'm forgetting about. We shouldn't discount their attack just because their defense had some of the best players ever on it. Del Piero and Totti are literally two of the best ever at their positions, and the fact they were on the same team in the relative prime of their careers is pretty insane.

One could say Crazy did, as well....

I believe Zelalem has some ties with Walter Johnson High School in Maryland (somewhat close to DC).

Nah. Totti and De Piero are two of the best trequartistas to ever play the game. Italy was a deep team all around that tournament.

isn't Zelalem Arsenals best youth player and probably going to be promoted soon?

I still have no idea what the f this means.
But yeah, I think that Nagbe is legit.

I was referring to the Luca Toni, Inzaghi and Gilardino comment.

It's your classic version of a no.10. The playmaker.

Yeah, Italian players (aside from Pirlo oddly after he turned 30 and had been doing the same things for years) don't really get much credit since they don't play outside Italy but any attack featuring Totti and Del Piero is tough to beat.

Well Toni was incredible for that one season for Fiorentina, Inzaghi was still good in the box, and Gilardino did work his arse off for the team, bless his heart. It's not untrue, as it were.
