We're keeping our pimp hand strong against Costa Rica. 4-nil at the half. Heather O'Reilly and Julie Johnston scored once and Christen Press scored twice.

I know Costa Rica is a tomato can but it's still a great way to open the victory tour

I won't lie. If I'm choosing between Premier League Sunday or USWNT matches, I'll almost always choose the first.

Every night before I go to sleep, I pretend I'm married to Christen Press.

Klingenberg getting to wave the Terrible Towel after her goal was pretty awesome.

Women's sports are garbage. The members of this thread could likely go out there and win a match against the girls.

She's never answered any of my DM's on Instagram

I'm partial to Carli Lloyd. Cute, and the hero of the World Cup Final.

Unfortunately she's engaged

Do you think your obvious statement wasn't trying too hard?

I'm not bad mouthing US soccer, I, and literally the rest of the world, know that having the best women's team isn't exactly something to brag about. The rest of the world gives zero tricks about it, we shouldn't hold onto it like it makes us an elite soccer nation.

I agree, but will admit to having pretty much no interest in WNT friendlies. Not only is it the women's game, but I just watched the US scorch through the penultimate tournament, I don't really care about watching them blow out inferior opponents from a shallow pool of competitors in an exhibition.

Terrific straw man argument.

No one said it made us an elite soccer nation.

But to say no one else in the world cares about it is patently false. Hundreds of millions watched the Women's World Cup this year.

Just an FYI England is dumping money into it's women's program as we speak.....I think it is pretty obvious that Germany and France care too.

To say no one in the world cares is obtuse.....to say not many would be more accurate.
