Of course, the logistics would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible. The college towns are way too small and you need to be in major/semi-major cities for shite to do outside of the games itself. Furthermore, there are not nearly enough places to stay.
Concur. But, if LA hosted . .I guess it'd be at the Rose Bowl. I highly doubt they'd use Home Depot Center. It only holds 27,000

Not in a huge city, but the Arizona Cardinals stadium would be a great site for a match, if it hasn't been mentioned already. Grass, state-of-the-art...

Remember, this hypothetical takes place in 2022. The stadium landscape will look different.
Possible venues:
New Meadowlands, NYC
Farmers Stadium (if it exists by then) or Rose Bowl, LA
Soldier Field, Chicago
Cowboys Stadium, Dallas
Reliant Stadium, Houston
Georgia Dome (or new stadium maybe), ATL
Qwest Field if grass, Seattle
Dolphins new stadium if they replace the old one, Miami
Arrowhead, KC
Chargers new stadium, SD
49ers new stadium, San Fran
There are so many question marks at this point, but we definitely have the venues for it.

I really wish DC would have a better stadium. It's time for us to have a national stadium at our capital. I'm not saying we should not have international matches elsewhere in the country, but all competitive games should be in DC. If all other countries have a national stadium, why not us?

FedEx Field is only 15 years old and seats around 80,000. I would like to see DC renovate RFK stadium into a true soccer venue, but I could never see the city spending that kind of money without an NFL or MLB tenant.

fedex while modern as shite, just needs to go lol. Synder wants a new one back downtown at the rfk site and a WC bid might be the thing that could help him get it. When DC United finally gets their stadium rfk will be blown to shite

I read on wikipedia that the Skins took 10,000 seats out of FedEx a few years ago and 4,000 more recently to make room for luxury boxes. Are they (mainly Dan Snyder) only doing that to drive up demand and seat license fees? We all know they could sell 120,000 seats every week if they wanted.

they took out the 10k ,(5 in each endzone) to create standing room only party decks. Thank god the skins don't have seat licenses. We could 120k if it was priced right but most fans are wanting the new stadium more around 70k but Danny wants 100K he can't be out done by Jerrah

Also, don't the Skins own the stadium and parking right now? They would have to convince DC to sell all of the land around RFK to get the same arrangement there. That would be expensive and a logistical nightmare.
