I’m shocked. No one saw this coming.

I do feel bad for City fans though, this was gonna be a great excuse for them to not have to watch City crash out before the semis the next two years

Yawn.

We were already punished for this. The only thing shocking is that they didn’t allow UEFA to frick us a second time.

What was the punishment? Genuinely asking, when I try to search it’s all about this 2 year ban and fine

In 2014? Pretty hefty fine and roster restrictions for european competition in 14/15 and 15/16 IIRC.

Yes. It’s why we’ve boo’ed the UCL anthem since then.

It’s crazy tho the ruling basically said UEFA sucks at their job. Nothing really about killing off FFP

They still haven't released the full ruling have they? I'm curious to see what it says. I don't think it "kills" FFP either way.

Basically, City broke FFP rules, lied about it, obstructed the investigation, and then delayed long enough to run out the clock. And the CAS rewarded them for it.

It's bullshite.

Not really. We don't know what parts were time-gated and which parts the club was cleared of. That'll be in the full CAS report later this week.
