Congrats to the Bears. Not surprised. We (St. Michael) played them in December and drew 0-0, but I could definitely see the talent Catholic had. Very good young team that has started playing really well at the right time. After so many years of underachieving in the playoffs, Catholic have finally delivered and player to their potential these past two postseason campaigns.

St. Paul's has actually shown mortality this year (this SPS team isn't as good as the last two), so Catholic definitely has a shot at the title. The Bears have yet to concede a goal in four playoffs games. I think it'll be a low-scoring game.

As a side note, Episcopal also will be representing BR in the D-III title game, but it'll be hard to beat St. Louis. Saints going for their 13th title in 21 seasons.

Normally the games would be Wednesday through Saturday, with each division having its girls and boys matchup on one day, but this year the Mardi Gras parades would not allow that so the LHSAA moved up the finals.

D4 and D3 will be on Wednesday, D2 on Thursday , and D1 on Friday.

You can watch all the boys and girls games online on the NFHS network. Think it costs like $30 for a year. If you watch all 8 games it's a much better value than paying $10 to see the games in person and deal with the traffic.

Will be headed down to watch my little brother and Episcopal play Wednesday night. Very exciting and they actually beat St. Louis earlier in the season. The seeding for the soccer playoffs this year were terrible.

Mandeville made it to the game before the state championship? When I played we thought it was an accomplishment just to not get completely blown out by SPS

well st louis hadnt lost a game since the first 2 weeks of the season or something like that and ED White was undefeated. generally the rankings are a pretty good general consensus. of course the general consensus isnt always correct

I understand. Obviously as an Episcopal fan I'm biased but they beat Uhigh and St. Louis and won district but were seeded eighth. They probably had loses that knocked them down too.

St. Paul should win by 3. This matchup doesn't favor the Bears IMO. Who knows though, Catholic has been on a great run.
