We’re 20 matches in, plus conference league. We may be young in age but these guys should be battle ready for top tier soccer by now. There is zero excuse for these late match goals- my 14 year old’s team knows how to protect a lead. Tired of the age excuse. We’ll still be young next year- what will our excuse be then?

That’s not how it works my friend.

And yet, the best defenders in the world still shite the bed on occasion.

No offense, but these situations are not even remotely the same.

You call it an excuse. I call it reasonable expectations. As they become older, more experienced players (in the gaffers system), then I predict more success.
Keep in mind, this roster is still a work in progress.
Chill bro.
Have some faith.
Enjoy the ride.

Too many soft players. Physically and mentally
Agreed.
Young players are usually both of those.
They may never toughen up, but older guys usually do.
Drogba early at Marseilles was talented, but soft.
Lamps at West Ham was talented, but soft.
Only a handful of players have the stones at an early age.
Experience matters.

One looks to be heading out.
Casadei to Torino has been agreed to by the player.
On another note, Santos is tearing it up at Strasbourg.
We need depth in the midfield.
He could give that to the Blues.
It would suck for Strasbourg though, and they are part of the Blueco group.
As for the back line, Fofana is out until March. Despite Tosin doing a good job at filling in, Fofana’s injury is a major loss.

Fofana, like James, can't even be considered a loss anymore. They are never available and there is zero reason to ever expect any significant or consistent contribution from them.

Sadly, it looks like you are correct. As I posted previously, it is though they are made of glass.
When healthy though, those two are difference makers.
It really does suck.

Ho-hum win against overmatched Morecambe. Liked Tosin’s activity today, Felix did well (athough he usually does against lesser competition), but you could tell Nkunku doesn’t care to be there anymore. Only lead 1-0 at half but our superior talent took over. Did what was expected.

The unpunished time wasting was pretty frustrating to say the least, thank god for big Reece tho to get 1 point there. We need some help

The captain saves a point. Damn we need defensive help desperately. Where are you Trevoh and Marc? Cmon back to your club!

Maybe if we didn't get down to Bournemouth at home we wouldn't have to worry about time wasting

I've been in favor of being patient with Jackson last year because he was raw and this year because he was finishing. CP does not score the 1st goal without his strong move and perfect pass. But... he had 2-3 chances that should have turned into goals. I don't think you look for a replacement in January, but should in the summer if he can't get consistent.

Jackson is a good squad player, but isn't a number 9 on a team that's serious about winning.

This was said about Mo Salah and De Bruyne as well before they were shipped off.
As for those chances, I thought that most of the strikes were quite good. The keeper simply made excellent saves. It happens.

While true, Bournemouth trouncing Newcastle 4-1 suggests that they are on some damn good form.

Palmer starting vs Wolves.
I’ll say it- if Blues draw or god forbid lose to Wolves today, season is over. We’ll have another glorious next season in Belarus on Tuesday nights.

Nah.
Let’s see who we pick up in the transfer market.
ETA - Dammit Sanchez.
