I’m excited for chilwell. Announce Thiago and havertz.

Get puli 100% fit and I think we can compete for top 2

I definitely think we are overpaying for Chiwell, but he was always going to be overpriced because of him being a younger English "star". £50m isn't *that* bad of an overpay. Money seems to be the least of Roman's worries anyways.

I would be happy with getting Thiago Silva as well, still think he can be decent and it would be good for players like Ampadu, Tomori, etc. to have one of the best defenders of the last decade as a mentor of sorts.

Still only 23. Pretty young for a center back. I think we need him

Agreed. He is English though and EPL clubs seem to always pay out of the nose for Brits. He has a different skill set than Alonso, but I don’t see him as an upgrade. The best argument for him is that with that different skill set, he gives Lamp’s some options.

Still, there are much better prospects (and at a much cheaper price) than him. If they sign him though, I will obviously pull for him to succeed. I just don’t get why they would sign him.

I haven't heard anything on a keeper. Any rumblings?

Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a potential move for Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi. Manchester City and Inter Milan have both been strongly linked with the 33-year-old, who is said to have already informed new Barca boss Ronald Koeman that he could be on the move.
Can’t believe this is serious.

Also, something in Chilwell’s physical has given the Blues pause. Apparently there’s an issue with his foot ( heel) that he had to see a specialist over. And Silva deal should be done today or tomorrow.

Per Football London:

Barca are said to be unprepared to sell their star player this summer for less than his £631million release clause.

Obviously the caballero slot is sub optimal
Don’t see them going into 20/21 with a relic back there

I'd really like to try Dave/Silva. But Zouma's pace might be nice next to the aging Silva.

Now sell Jorginho for Rice and get us another winger. Benrahma?

Bring in Onana and let Kepa fight for his spot if he wants it. I’d be surprised if we could move him this window anyway.

Maybe sell Emerson and bring in reguillon on a flyer.

Mbuyamba and sarr are icing on the cake.

This window has been worth the wait. That’s a strong lineup, with a strong bench behind it. Still probably have a CB issue to address next summer, but options will be more plentiful. Can ampadu stake a claim? Upamecano anyone?

Surprised we haven’t done more selling to this point but you have to believe things are in the works. This window makes the last two seem so worthwhile- Roman is making a statement.

Frank has made the statement, Roman is listening, and Marina the Assassin has been really busy.

I think we’re buying first, then selling. Read that if/when we sign Kai we’re still only at something like an 11M net spend for the year. Included in that were sales of hazard and morata and a half dozen loan army men. There’s room for more announcements with or without additional sales.

Crazy to think how different this squad is shaping up to be. In one window. Somebody pinch me. And if by some miracle that guy from those Pepsi commercials comes here...
