Makes up for missing the last two windows. Honestly it was a miracle Chelsea made top 4 last season with no moves during the year to improve the team. Crappy goaltending, holes all over the defense, unproven Pulisic and a bunch of kids playing major minutes - Frank pulled off a major coup. It’s why I’m so bullish on this season with all these upgrades.

Freaking Willian playing well for Arsenal. Hope that move doesn’t come back to haunt us.

Willian still has game, but the disagreement was over the reality of 3 years on. Chelsea wanted the option to reevaluate after 2 years, Willian wouldn’t budge off of 3. We could have used his depth and free kicks but we are moving in a completely different direction, overall it’s a positive move imo.

Tbh I want Rice announced just for all the jimmies it would rustle and so it improves West Ham's chances of going down

I feel like Rice has potential to be another who got away despite his outing with england the other day. Chelsea don’t want to have done that again, and West Ham know it.

They’ll make us pay, but with Roman this is becoming nothing but an inconvenient formality. And we should still see several sales as well.

So any chance for Pulisic to play today? I’m thinking he would be a sub, if anything.

If he's questionable I'd rather them just hold him out. No need to rush it, especially against Brighton

And I assume Kepa is starting today?

Yeah, I agree. We have options with Werner/Mount both able to fill in out wide. I'd rather him come on around 65' if he's not 100% there yet.

Never heard Kante was in danger of missing the game. As far as Pulisic, I'm okay being cautious. If we can't beat Brighton without him, we have much bigger issues. I'd rather him get close to the full two months for recovery. Don't want a recurring hamstring issue.

He's looking pretty good. Should have an assist if Maupay didn't whiff and hit the ball with his shoulder

He's not as good as Reece James, so he'd have never stayed.
