Terror money has shown it can buy a World Cup that has to be played in the winter and required slave labor which cost dozens of people their lives so getting a transfer ban reduced won't be a problem.

Can't wait to, hopefully, see and RLC and Kante together in the midfield next season. Love those dudes

I’m bumping this to remind everyone that we had a subpar year and still made top 4. #COYB

looks like this just happened. summer window possibly open.

if this means buying Kovacic and re-upping Higuain without any other substantial investment, i might be done.

So assuming this does mean we will get to have a summer window, what positions do y'all think we should focus on in the market? I feel like we lose Giroud and Willian (along with Hazard, but we already bought Puslic). So I feel like replacing them along with finding another left back and right back is important.

ETA: lol nvm FIFA of course told us to go frick ourselves LINK

We'll be fine after CAS has a say. As far as positions, I see it like this.

We need outside backs. A legit LB is top priority. Dave was incredibly mediocre at RB this year, but people just don't want to talk about it. I'd move him back inside and try to address RB. Maybe Reece can be that guy. He was great all year. If not, buy somebody. If Sarri doesn't want to put Dave at CB, I think we have to invest heavily there. Luiz is aging and I don't think Christensen is the answer.

We also need a legitimate striker. Those are the top needs in my opinion as the squad stands.

I still expect Eden to go, so I'm expecting we make a big signing to replace him like Pepe.

As far as people who can be sold/not extended as far as I'm concerned:

Either Alonso or Emerson. Cahill. Zappacosta. Kovacic. Willian. Michy. Higuain.

I'm terrified of Higuain and Tammy being our two first team strikers come August. I just have a bad feeling that Sarri will keep Higuain for whatever reason.

But, yeah left and right back improvements will be key for us. Even if the right back is someone we can at least rotate/compete for the starting spot so Dave doesn't have to play an infinite amount of minutes just because his back up is unplayable.

Tammy either needs his chance at Chelsea or a TYFYS loan to Leeds.

Striker and as close to a replacement as we can get for Hazard. He's probably directly responsible for like 75% of our goals. We aren't going to replace that obviously so we need a striker who can actually do something. A new fullback and center back are needed. Those would be my four buys.

Higuain has to go
Giroud will go
Kovacic needs to go
Willian probably will go, need CHO to get healthy
Hazard so sadly is gone

Hoping Kante will be back for Arsenal. I’d like to think we will hold the trophy but Arsenal worries me. Loftis-Cheek needs more playing time and Hazard, as much as I love him, is sometimes too damn cute with the ball instead of advancing to the goal and pressuring.

Not very concerned about Foxes this weekend as our place in the top 4 is solidified.

Higuain is just a loan. We can buy him or not for about 30 million. It would be money thrown away, though. Any adaptation he might get with time spent in the league will be rendered useless by the fact he's aging and his game is declining.

Assuming Hazard is leaving and the transfer ban is coming eventually, this window is basically damage limitation and having to plan for the future, which isn't something Chelsea seem to be good at. This team probably needs 4 new starters, 3 if you can move Dave back inside successfully, to try to compete with Liverpool and City. LB/RB/One CB spot/ST/RW haven't been good enough this year.

hes just on a loan w/ an option to extend.

his performance today was some of the worst shite ive ever seen.

he constantly misplaced passes, didnt really seem to offer much movement, and started waving his hands up almost immediately when he got on the pitch and didnt get the service he wanted.

i was very very pro Higuain. my opinion changed real fast.

striker has to be priority #1. this system is set up to score goals, and we have a hard time doing that, getting harder when our main goal AND assist threat leaves.

We've been in a "crisis" all season. We finished third. We lost in penalties in a domestic final. We're going to the Europa League Final. We've done this without legitimate outside backs or a striker. We've done this after our manager wasn't given a preseason. We've done this with everybody stoking the fire that the manager is hated by the team/the fans and needs to be removed.

If we get this transfer ban put off and we can actually do some business, we might be able to challenge the teams ahead of us for longer than two months next year. Obviously think winning it is a lot, but we could easily end up with 80 + points and make KO stages of the Champions League.

Apparently he’s got more yellow cards (1) than goals in the last two seasons. Higuain won’t be extended and hazard is leaving.

Giroud is aging and can only score in Europa league. Won the WC without scoring a single goal. I do like him off the bench as a super sub when you need a change of pace and someone to lob balls into the box to.

Abraham should get a shot next season to see if he can make the jump from the championship to PL. I’m interested to see what he can do.

Batshuayi looks more of a bargain with the market skyrocketing but I still think we overpaid. We should move him on unless the transfer ban holds. If it does I think we’ll be forced to use him.

With those three and a transfer ban I’d consider recalling morata. Can we even do that? As bad as morata was, he may just offer the most upside.
