If not for Gonzalo Donkey Higuain we’d be almost assured CL

Yeah. Also if Atkinson had sent off Matic. Or Herrera. Or Rojo.

saw that our only shots on target were Rudiger and Alonso. which obviously were registered in the same sequence.

i didnt think Higuain could be any worse than Morata, but he might be. should just start Giroud and see what happens. at least he doesnt throw constant hissy fits when the ball doesnt come his way, just occasional hissy fits.

NBC reporting that Rudiger is having a knee operation and is out for 8 weeks. LINK World ain't ready for the return of the Gary Cahill pain train.

Supposedly hes hurt.

Id hope they play Ampadu as a backup instead of sliding dave over in an emergency.

If I'm not mistaken Ampadu is also battling injury too. I just assumed since Cahill didn't travel that the plan was to shift Azpi over if AC or Luiz had to come off.

ETA: Yeah Ampadu didn't travel with the team either

Its possible his "injury" is just cover for the fact that this is the plan no matter what.

Good draw today. Feeling good about the second leg at Stamford. Need to start faster because we controlled the second half. Hazard needs more minutes to secure a place in the finals.

Woohoo top 4! Good end to up-and-down season. Now let’s get the Europa trophy, whip Foxes next week, and lock down Hazard for next year and beyond.

Cheers to that. Any word on if they're gonna appeal the transfer ban?

the appeal process was started last month, which can take many months to process. unfortunately, FIFA denied a delay in the transfer ban until the appeal is heard, (the spanish clubs were successful in delaying their bans during the appeal.)

I think its possible to get a summer window open during the appeal if it reaches the Court of Arbritation level, which can only happen after the initial appeal is ruled on, meaning it could be well after july or august, putting the club in a terrible position with a short window, lots of need, and a market keenly aware theyre dealing with a vulnerable buyer.

prob best to just take it on the chin this summer and winter, bring in the kids on the loan and see what happens.

apparently the new changes have the 4th place team going to the group stage automatically. so we have nothing to play for next weekend. we will hopefully rest everybody ahead of the europa league final. also, the europa league champion is put in pot one so if we win that, we'd get an easier group potentially.

Went from not even getting a CL spot to getting a ball in Pot One.

Loftis-Cheek filled in great for Kante today so we should be ok. He’s a physical presence that kante isnt.

Yes, focus on Europa and play all subs vs Foxes.

RM even got it down from 2 windows to 1. Man City are next up, and im fully prepared for FIFA to cut them all the slack they arent giving chelsea.
