Terry goal. See if we can't get an equalizer. Been a pretty bleak performance.

Lukaku

I love Lukaku and want him to stay. He's not half the striker that Costa is right now though.

How are we with Eto'o?

I'd have him over Lukaku and just under Costa as a starter.

How long was his contract?

He is gone. It was a one year contract.

And, he is not as good as either Costa or Lukaku.

Just curious how you come by that opinion? He accomplished as much by his 21st birthday than Costa has in his entire career.

I really hope y'all sell Lukaku. He reminds me too much of Arsenal's greatest nemesis, Drogba.

We will, keeping him would make too much sense for us.

Costa and Torres don't scare anyone. Not that Giroud and Sanogo do either.

I think lukaku and costa would be a good battle for up top. Torres a long ways in 3rd

Isn't the news that he is staying?

Or are you talking about longer term?

I don't really follow it super closely because I get tired of trying to weed through the BS.

If so that's great news and hopefully he takes over the primary role sooner rather than later.

Gotcha. Yeah he's staying as of this morning after reports yesterday he'd likely transfer to Everton.

Sounds like the deal to Everton in the next few days won't happen, but still the potential for him to be moved.

I can't see him moving this window now that Ba has been sold. Can't imagine the board or Mourinho okaying Lukaku leaving when Torres and Costa are the only other strikers we have. If Costa goes down, I don't think any of them will trust Torres to produce this season. Let's just have our fingers crossed that Lukaku and Costa both have excellent preseasons and give Mou all kinds of headaches.

Our strikers have been suspect to say the least but I am looking for good things this year. Torres may have lost a couple of steps but he is a much smarter player now IMO and can be a table setter for a younger and more athletic partner up top. If Drogba is is resigned, I see he and Torres splitting time and Lukaku and Costa ding the same. With three or four competitions to focus on, this kind of depth will come in handy. Just my thoughts.

You and Vicente Del Bosque are the only two people in the world who still believe in Torres.
