Kid was a legit beast in High School. The best player on the field at all times in Louisiana. Watching him play was something. Facing him was daunting cause you knew you lost the midfield every game you played Catholic.

Surprised this hasn’t happened earlier (not this particular player) but the owner lives in New Orleans and the chief financial officer lives (or recently lived) in Baton Rouge. Would love to see more young Americans get a chance there.

Hard to believe he's better than Patrick Mullins and Mullins could barely cut it in the MLS.

Max is a good kid. Very talented. His technical skill is fantastic. If he can adjust to the physicality of English football, he has a chance.

How sick would it be to have a player from Louisiana make it to the top of English soccer

My assumption is like you go to the academy. If you make it they give you an actual professional contract. But they prob don’t have a full academy like the big clubs that have like all age groups. So maybe for wycombe it’s more of a practice squad deal?

I remember real sports doing a piece in this a while ago. But it was more about kids from Africa. Go to these academies and don’t make it. But then are sort of stuck over there and just end up working like service jobs and stuff.
