Told you. And Jozy won't play.

ETA: I don't have any inside information on Jozy that's just my particular opinion.

I wonder if they will keep icing his knee every day.

I would assume so... I would imagine most players get some ice after training

Jermaine Jones just needs to go ahead and put him on the ground the first time he touches the ball. But please nowhere near our defensive third.

At this point, I don't believe anything coming from either camp. They have no incentive to tell the truth.

My guess, as it has been from the start, is that Jozy won't play and Ronaldo will. He looked fine against the Germans. Not an A+ game but he was probably their most dangerous guy the entire game, and along with Eder, the only guy who looked like he could do something.

If this is him on the brink of an injury, he is a really tough guy.

However, I'm glad that we might not see his 5th gear over the weekend, obviously.

I said in one of the 3-7 Ronaldo threads today that I thought it was BS coming out of both camps on Jozy and Ronaldo. BS that Jozy may be fit and BS that Ronaldo wouldn't be.

Lost in all of this is that, not only is Portugal replacing 50% of their backline but also playing their backup keeper.

I don't remember Eduardo getting hurt.

This really is a nightmare Cup for Portugal.

If ever we can beat them (or get a solid draw), now is the time.

Yeah we can use all of the help we can get. I'd love to beat them 2-0 and watch their crybaby lose his shite.

I don't believe this for a second. He'll probably play, but he's far from 100%.

This.

You don't leave practice early to ice your knee and have doctors saying that if you play you will endanger your career if your 100%.

But beyond just Ronaldo, Portugal is not 100% which is more important. You've got injuries, a suspension, and you know the team is very frustrated. Their game against Germany was either pass to Ronaldo or have him glare at you for not doing so.

They aren't a team and they weren't in 2002 when they were much better as a full eleven. We will get their best early, but if we don't concede early we are going through. They will wilt in Manaus.

Is Jones big for a soccer player? He seems like a giant out in the pitch.

Them not being a team is key because, get this, U.S. is playing great as a team right now. When our stars don't shine so bright, our role players pick up the slack. Jurgen has these playing their best ball at the moment.

Portugal is in for some shite if they think we're just gonna bend over and cry just cause Ronaldo is out there.
