Just some tidbits from training. The group had to do the pacer test.
quote:

Alejandro Bedoya described the ordeal with the touch of a poet: "Your legs go first, then your lungs constrict, and you spit up in vain after every lap, but you keep your eyes on your competitors and that keeps you going," he said. "I kept telling myself, this is for the team, this is for my family, this is for Brazil, this is for Ghana."

quote:

Michael Bradley monitored proceedings with a careful eye. As he later told us, "This will be a World Cup where teams that do well will suffer. We want to be the team that can suffer the most."

damn. I'm so pumped. Can't wait for these friendlies to kick off so we can see the group in action.

The U.S. is generally the more fit team on the field when they play. No need to buck that trend this year especially considering out group.

There's a YouTube of him with Roma against Milan. He got some praise for that game, but I think he's progressed a bit since then.
He wasn't exactly on Totti's level and never will be, but he's going to open some eyes in Brazil.

I think Roma fans will be sad that they lost Il Generale. Or at least I'm hoping his play in Brazil conjures up that feeling.

The pacer test sucked, but that would be fun as shite to do that with the USMNT because it is the one thing I would not get laughed at.

they have to be, we aren't

spain/germany/france/italy

we cannot break down, we don't have the talent to hang with teams so we have to be the fittest.

I remember the beeper test, that freaking sucked.

A younger Demarcus Beasley would win this hands down I feel. For some reason I remember hearing about him having some crazy result in his beeper test back in the day.
