What facts have you presented? You sound like an idiot.

Why do you feel the need to jump into an MLS-related thread and talk about how much you hate the league? This was just a guy asking about a team that several on here will follow. This ain't a debate thread about the merits of MLS.
So are you that starved for attention?

Altanta United sounds like a terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson.

Come on man, we might as well delete this thread. DS is gonna hijack this with utter nonsense.

The Dynamo academy (as of a few years ago) was picking up the top players from three or four local travel/elite teams, mainly the Texans and houstonians. They also had several players from as far away as the valley on the roster. I think one of the kids from the valley was the dynamos first or second ever home grown singing (him or their gk).
Played a couple of pickup games At rice with a few academy kids looked to be about 16 and damn they were smooth. Skinny as a rail but damn good players

He's just mad Austin will never get a club.....

Not even Don Garber would attempt to claim any of the 24 MLS outlets are anything close to a "club"
Austin deserves a pro team, but that's besides the point. The tax shelter for NFL owners that is MLS/SUM is actively harming the development of the game in this country. It's bizarre how accepting of it/blind to it most of you are.

It sure beats the system we had in place in 1995.

How in the world can a closed, single entity league have clubs? Do you know what a club is? To call MLS outlets clubs would negate the meaning of the word.
You can't even call MLS teams franchises.

Yes there are many issues with the franchise system, but for now it keeps the league stable.

I know it's uncomfortable to many when their preconceived notions are challenged, but that doesn't make the one challenging them a troll

No shite. After 20 years, we're still not at the point where we can afford to make big changes.
Could be doable in another 20 years.

I couldn't disagree more. High level soccer draws good tv ratings and huge crowds across the country. MLS' intentional mediocritization of their product and obscenely low wages only ensures the league will continue to run in place (at best) for the foreseeable future.
